Forsyth Seafood Market & Cafe: Reviews & Ratings
It is a fish market with a dining space next to it. When you entered you order your food and pay for it. They provide you with a pager that will ring when your order is ready. You get your sauce from a dispensary that is stationed in the middle of the dining area. Their were many people placing takeout orders. The place looked clean and cozy. I had the shrimp dinner. The candied yams were too sweet and it taste so much like caramel candy. The collard green and shrimp were good and even gave me some hush puppies on the side.
The food was amazing and was worthy of 5 stars; only reason the 4 was the condiments area (community use bulk). Fish was flavorful, shrimp cooked to perfection; greens seasoned; Mac & cheese baked… took me back to childhood days. My new seafood spot & hoping for consistency in the future.
I haven't eaten at the restaurant in a while but ialways enjoyed eating there. I go to the fresh fish market every week. The customer service is top notch!!! The prices are way better than local grocery stores and the fish is fresher. I bought just over 2# of fresh catfish filets for a little over $21, I ordered 8 filets. They're all a good size and they're very clean. There aren't any bones or skin on my filets. I recommend Forsyth Seafood and I will be going back next week.
This lived up to the hype. Seasoned and fried to perfection! You know the oyster had to be fried right if they were to be any good. Will be back with family for sho! The Gumbo broth was delicious! One of them soul stirring richness that you want when feeding a cold.
It was our first time at Forsyth Seafood and it's a very clean and an inviting atmosphere! We will definitely be returning when we pass thru this area again! We may even have to travel back up here just for some more great seafood! We love the fact that it's black owned, especially during black history month!
I had a wonderful first visit! The young lady at the register was absolutely amazing—so friendly and welcoming. Excellent customer service! I’ll definitely be returning.
The food here is incredibly good. Seasoned so perfectly. Everything from the flounder to the oysters to the shrimp, is so delicious. As well as the sides, some of the best collard greens I have ever had. Really good desserts too that they make in house, we tried the strawberry shortcake and the banana pudding. Great hardworking people here that will cook you an awesome seafood meal. Will definitely be back!
Great customer service every time! Cheyenne is awesome, and the entire staff and owner go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is consistently delicious, which is why we don’t mind driving a long distance just to enjoy it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making the whole experience well worth the trip. Highly recommended!
